Cyberspace

Here is a paragraph from a paper that I wrote. It explains what cyberspace is and its brief development.

"The internet is called many different things from the web to being commonly referred to as 'online' in the modern and most recent present. Cyberspace was a term created that would initially mean a realm that has endless possibilities. Lister makes a note of a very useful quote, “ We inhabit cyberspace when we feel ourselves moving through the interface into a relatively independent world with its own dimensions and rules.” (Heim from Lister 221/ 2009) What is most striking from the following excerpt is that it genuinely describes the cyber world in which we pass through. There is also talk that it is an escape but also a connection to real life. These would include our day to day conscious efforts to constantly interact along a path where we devote much time to doing many things." (Saporito 2009)

I decided to pull this directly because it is essentially what this topic is about. A space that is supposed to connect the real world with our cybernetic world.
